Costs

Total estimated investment ranges from $1,102,000 to $1,540,500 for the Long Term Lease Program, or $5,500,000 to $6,790,000 for the Prototype Real Estate Ownership Program, depending on whether you lease or purchase your property.  Ivy Kids does not provide direct financing. However, we may introduce qualified candidates to financing and lending resources on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. Franchisees pay a royalty fee equal to 7% of gross sales. These fees support training, marketing resources, curriculum updates, operating systems, and continued franchise development.

Franchisees must spend at least $7,000 per month on local marketing until the center reaches a 70% utilization rate. After that, the requirement becomes 1.5% of gross revenue. Franchisees also contribute 1.5% of gross revenue to the system marketing fund.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates care about children and families, possess strong leadership and business skills, and are required to participate actively in their center’s daily operations.

Candidates must demonstrate sufficient liquid capital and net worth to support their chosen property model. The specific requirements are outlined in the current Franchise Disclosure Document.

No. Early childhood education experience may be helpful, but it is not required. Strong management skills, integrity, community connections, and a genuine interest in serving families are more important.

Owners are required to be onsite full time; they are expected to remain actively involved in the business and develop a capable team that includes a Center Director, Education Director, teachers, and support staff.

Ivy Kids opened its first early learning center in 2003.

The initial franchise agreement lasts 25 years, with the option to renew the agreement for an additional 10 years.

Yes. Ivy Kids provides real estate guidance and can assist with site selection and development based on whether you plan to lease or purchase the property.

The right location must support the space, accessibility, licensing, and operating needs of a Ivy Kids early learning center. Each proposed site is evaluated as part of the development process.

Training & Support

Franchise owners and key staff receive pre-opening training at Ivy Kids headquarters in Houston, Texas. The team also provides approximately two weeks of training assistance around the grand opening, along with a confidential operations manual and ongoing guidance.
